Worrying Is Using Your Imagination To Create Something You Don’t Want

People tend to worry about 100 different things inside of their heads. But, how many of them are realistic problems? We tend to worry about scenarios that are completely made up on the spot and are no need.

Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but it won’t get you anywhere. You’ll continue to worry all day, everyday but where exactly does it take you? Nowhere. For some of us, worrying has become a habit and part of our everyday life. Waking up in the morning and starting to worry right off the bat makes you exhausted. Due to worrying day-in and day-out, it takes away today’s peace and at the same time, it doesn’t take away tomorrow’s troubles. So, why do we worry? Here are some of the main reasons why people tend to worry:

  • If I worry, I won’t be getting a nasty or bad surprise in the future
  • It’s much safer if I worry
  • If I worry, it will show others I care
  • It motivates me
  • It helps me solve different problems

Being worried about a particular situation or subject can be daunting. This brings me the question… how are we able to worry less?

Firstly, realise and say to yourself that worrying isn’t helping you in anyway. In fact, it not only hurts you emotionally, but also mentally and physically. You won’t have the motivation to work and fix yourself. It will drain the energy out of you. You can also do some activities such as meditation, it will take you roughly 30 minutes if you do it right. Meditation has the gift of releasing bad tension and thoughts. Lastly, be patient with yourself, you’re growing and learning by each minute.

“Worrying is stupid. It’s like walking around with an umbrella waiting for it to rain” – Wiz Khalifa

Sometimes in life, you need to stop worrying, wondering, and doubting yourself. You need to show faith that everything will work out the way it’s meant to be, never let go of that hope. Realise that everything that’s going on right now, you didn’t plan for it, but it will make you a stronger person.

Worrying will take away your tomorrow before it even begins. The day you look in the mirror, realise who you are and who you’ve become will be the day you stop worrying, it will be the first day of your new life. Anxiety takes you around in circulars, trust in yourself, who you are today and let yourself go, become free. You’ll never live up to your true potential if you continue to worry, let go of the negative thoughts that’s inside of you.

Become who you are meant to be. Deep down, you’re incredibly strong, if you weren’t, you wouldn’t be fighting and battling the dark days. Worrying won’t lead to anything, starting living your best life and become who you’ve always meant to be.
